We finally took the glass bottom boat tour from Acitrezza, basically a 45 minute spin around the protected marine area of Isola Lachea. The kids loved it even though the visibility wasn't great that day due to some wind and waves. Through the windows we saw jellyfish, sea urchins and lots of little fish. Up above we got great views of the Isola Lachea and friendly fishermen. We learned some interesting facts about the island's geological formation and the sea creatures from the marine biologist on board. Apparently there is a little museum on the island that can be visited as well. Reservations are needed as this is a popular activity in the summer.
